Hopefully these answers can help sway your decision to join our program. If you still have unanswered questions don't hesitate to contact us at your earliest convenience.
Q: Where do your teams practice?
A: We are a Westcheter based program so we use multiple facilities in/around central Westchester to host our team practices and events.
Q: When was Team Overtime started?
A: We began our program in 2015 with one age group. We now house several age groups over multiple seasons.
Q: Are you an "AAU" program?
A: We are indeed an official AAU program meaning we are registered with the Amatuer Athletic Union and can compete in any AAU sanctioned event during our basketball seasons.
Q: What age groups do you have?
A: We try our best to fill competitive rosters in age groups starting at 4th grade up to 11th grade.
Q: Which seasons do your teams play?
A: As of now our teams play during the Winter and Spring. We typically take Summer's off to allow our players to pursue other sports, travel and rest.
Q: Do you have only boys teams?
A: No, we do offer teams for female athletes as well. Please check our tryout updates or contact us if you are/have an interested female athlete.
Q: How much is your player fees for your program?
A: Our program prides itself on being the most affordable AAU program in the region withough sacrificing what we offer our players. Historically, our player fees have been under $1,000.00 per season and we are currently working on creative ways to help families raise funds to absord some of the out of pocket expenses for our fees.
Q: What kind of coaching do you provide?
A: We try to find the best coaches with the best knowledge to mentor our players. This is not an easy task but we believe our coaches are not only passionate about teaching basketball but are also eager to continue learning new ways to help our players develop their game.
Q: How are you different from other AAU programs?
A: The major difference between us and most AAU programs is that we actually operate as an "AAU" program. Not only are we registered members but we also act as a traditional AAU program in regards to our tournament schedule (locations), competitiveness and overall purpose.
Q: How can I get involved with your non-profit initiatives?
A: We welcome all likeminded partners, sponsors and donors who wish to help push our initiatives. Please contact us at your convenience to find how you can get involved.
Q: What is the goal for your program?
A: The ultimate goal of our program is to help our athletes fulfill their basketball dreams. Through this we want to create a network for our players and their families where they can use our tools, relationships and other advantages to pursue better high school, college and post college opportunities.
Q: When are you tryouts?
A: We have tryouts twice a year: Spring tryouts take place in January/February and our Winter tryouts are held in September. Please follow us for up to date information on these events.
Q: Do you offer any other services besides an AAU basketball team?
A: Yes we do! The guts of our program is rooted in skill development which is offered through our private basketball training company, Overtime Training Co. If you're seeking elite skill instruction in a professional enviornment you can check out what we offer here. We also host an amazing basketball camp every summer where we spend the week enhancing core skills, playing organized games and giving out cool prizes to contest winners. You can visit the offical website for Big Time Basketball Camp here to get more details on this event and see our past winners.
